The authorities of Hialeah revealed the identities of seven of the 14 individuals arrested during the operation against an alleged network of drugs, prostitution, and illegal gambling that was operating in the bar-café “La Lunita,” in the western part of that Miami-Dade city.

So far, the nationality of the detainees has not been disclosed.

The identified individuals - as reported by Univision - are:

-Karelia Pupucastillo, 35 years old.

-Glenda Muñoz Vargas, 34 years old.

-Alberto Guerra Alcorta, 35 years old.

-Félix Samon, 62 years old.

-Abel García, 39 years old.

-Yoslen Ramos, 41 years old.

-Ibis González, 49 years old.

According to reports, some face charges for drug possession, while others had outstanding arrest warrants.

In one of the cases, a suspect was seen trying to dispose of a bag containing what appeared to be cocaine before being apprehended.

The research also indicates that the establishment operated as a distribution point for narcotics.

According to the arrest report, the security guard of the establishment, identified as Yoslen Ramos, "was serving as a doorman" and was allegedly identified by undercover agents as the suspected person responsible for drug sales within the business.

During the intervention, authorities also discovered evidence of illegal alcohol sales and accounting books related to clandestine gambling machines.

Four of these machines were confiscated on site.

The background: 14 arrests and immediate closure of the establishment

The identification of the seven detainees follows the raid carried out on February 13 at the establishment located on 8 Court in west Hialeah, as part of an operation called "Operation Fallen Moon."

According to the police, about 35 people were inside the establishment at the time of the intervention, while -according to the authorities- illegal activities were taking place.

After the operation, the mayor of Hialeah, Bryan Calvo, reported that the city ordered the immediate closure of the business.

Federal agents also took three individuals into immigration custody.

So far, authorities have not provided additional details regarding the immigration status of those arrested.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities assess the extent of the alleged network that was operating in the establishment.
