“Daddy!”: girl reunites with her father after 155 days detained by ICE

A video shared on TikTok shows the heartfelt moment when a father, after spending 155 days detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), reunites with his young daughter upon returning home.

The images, shared by user Laura Hernández, first show the girl trying to open the door with obvious anticipation. Seconds later, the man appears and lifts her in his arms in a long, emotional embrace.

According to the text accompanying the video, the author's husband managed to win his immigration case and obtained residency after more than five months in ICE custody. "My husband is finally free after being detained by ICE for 155 days; he won his case and is free with his residency, thanks to God," she wrote in the post.

In another scene, the father also shares a heartfelt embrace with his partner, in a family atmosphere marked by tears and smiles. The video has gone viral and has generated numerous supportive reactions on social media.

Among the comments, messages such as: "Congratulations, I don't know you, but it's wonderful that you returned home," "Thank God for so many blessings; the joy of that little angel seeing their daddy is the most rewarding thing in the world," and "God is great and powerful, and He is the one who has the final word" can be read.

The case has sparked empathy among hundreds of users who highlight the importance of family reunification after lengthy and complex migration processes.
