Florida welcomed more than 143 million visitors in 2025, a record number that reaffirms the state as the top tourist destination in the United States.

According to data released by Governor Ron DeSantis and cited by , the state welcomed approximately 143.3 million tourists last year, reflecting a slight increase compared to the previous year.

The last quarter of 2025 was particularly strong for the sector. Between October and December, around 33.5 million visitors arrived, the highest record for that period.

The vast majority of travelers were American. According to preliminary estimates, 91.5 percent of the visitors came from other states in the country, with approximately 131.1 million domestic tourists.

International tourism was also present, though to a lesser extent. In total, around 9.3 million foreign visitors were recorded, with Canada leading the way with approximately 2.9 million travelers.

The report also notes an increase in the arrival of tourists from countries such as Brazil, Argentina, and Spain.

DeSantis emphasized that the tourism industry remains one of the economic engines of the state and attributed the growth to investments in infrastructure, public safety, and destination promotion.

Visit Florida, the official organization responsible for promoting tourism in the state, noted that the sector continues to play a key role in the economy by attracting visitors, generating jobs, and supporting thousands of businesses linked to tourism activities.
