A Cuban influencer shared a personal experience on TikTok that, as she explained, she chose to recount in order to prevent other women from making the same mistake she did by undergoing cosmetic surgery primarily motivated by cost.
In the video, the content creator mentioned that she paid $3,800 for a cosmetic surgery at a clinic that promised results similar to those of other more expensive procedures. However, she claims that the outcome was very different from what she expected.
"When I heard that price, the first thing that came to my mind was: it's cosmetic surgery, why pay more? That was the first mistake I made," she explained.
According to his testimony, after the intervention he developed fibrosis, abdominal irregularities, and fat accumulation, which he described as "a total failure."
The young woman stated that the consequences have been not only physical but also emotional. “I had surgery to feel more confident in myself, to be happy with my body, not to hide or to have the insecurities I have today,” she said.
She even confessed that there are days when she feels ashamed to show her abdomen, something that has affected her self-esteem.
In her message, the influencer warned other women to research carefully before undergoing cosmetic surgery and not to make decisions based solely on cost.
"A surgery is not like a blouse that you put on, don’t like, and take off. It is something that remains for a lifetime. This is about your health, your emotional security, and your body," she asserted.
The young woman stated that she decided to share her story because many followers had asked her if she had undergone surgery and also because she wants to raise awareness about the risks of seeking out overly cheap options.
"Cheap isn't always the best. As we Cubans say: cheap ends up being expensive," he concluded.
