Kenny Robert erupts over the criticism of Samantha Hernández: “A real man does not discredit a woman.”

The Cuban influencer Kenny Robert came to the defense of Samantha Hernández this Thursday through a video on Instagram, following the wave of criticism directed at the young content creator for publicly explaining why she avoids discussing politics and the situation in Cuba.

The controversy erupted when Samantha Hernández published a video in which she justified her political silence with these words: "I am a person who doesn't talk about politics, mainly because I don't know. I have no information, I only know the basics and what everyone knows." Additionally, she described the political debate on social media as "a business" and "a circus" that she does not want to be part of, and questioned the real impact of social media: "The world already knows what is happening in Cuba. I am not going to change anything from a phone. Not even 50 thousand influencers."

His words sparked a strong negative reaction. Users on social media responded with phrases like "You don't need to know about politics to understand what's happening in Cuba" and "Don't you like to delve into topics you don't know? That's called studying."

Kenny Robert took a clear stance. In his video, he argued that "not everyone is well-versed in political matters" and that Samantha "knows what we all know." He added that "it's better to acknowledge what one doesn’t know how to discuss than to speak without knowledge" and emphasized that commenting on Cuba is not an obligation, although he personally does produce content on the topic.

The most striking point of his intervention was the criticism of men who, instead of discussing the crux of the matter, diverted the conversation to Samantha's personal life. "A real man doesn't need to discredit any woman unless he is a bird or has a confused sexuality," he said.

Both influencers have a documented friendship. In January 2026, during the reality show El Rancho de Destino, Samantha publicly defended Kenny Robert when he was criticized by his peers, describing him as "one of the few genuine ones in that ranch."

This is not the first time that Samantha Hernández has faced this debate. In June 2025, in the Farándula 305 podcast, she had already explained her stance: "I did not protest in Cuba, and I will not ask others to do so... The one who will be imprisoned is not me," a statement that also drew criticism at the time.

Kenny Robert closed his video with a call for unity within the Cuban community in exile: "Defending Cuba also means defending the respect among ourselves as Cubans. Because if there is something our people need right now, it is unity due to the harsh situation they are facing."
