Cuban families reported on the night of this Sunday a disruption in mobile data service in the Cojímar area of Havana, amid new protests in the capital.

According to information shared by journalist Magdiel Jorge Castro on X, residents also reported pot-banging protests in neighborhoods like Alamar and Bahía, signs of discontent in various areas of Havana.

The reports align with a context of growing social tension, marked by prolonged blackouts, shortages, and failures in basic services, which have led to spontaneous protests in various areas of the country.

The alleged cut in mobile internet coincides with these protests, a practice that has been previously condemned during episodes of civic mobilization in Cuba.
