The Cuban regime has been detaining Christian de Jesús Crespo Álvarez, 16 years old, since March 18, arrested for his alleged involvement in the protests on March 13 in Morón, Ciego de Ávila, as reported by the organization Justicia 11J on Thursday on their X profile.

Christian's father, Odelsis Crespo, explained that the authorities identified his son through videos and recordings captured by people on the street during the protests, and that five days later he was summoned to appear before the authorities.

"They have been communicating since March 18th. Now we are at the beginning of April. My mom tells me they gave her 10 minutes of visitation on Wednesday," she said.

He is not the first 16-year-old teenager that the regime has detained as part of its repressive campaign following the demonstrations in Morón.

Jonathan David Muir Burgos, son of the evangelical pastor Elier Muir Ávila, was arrested on March 16 while accompanying his father to a police summons, and faces formal charges for the crime of sabotage related to his involvement in those same protests.
