The sister of the Cuban reggaeton artist Yosvani Sierra Hernández, known as Chocolate MC, alleges mistreatment at the South Florida Reception Center, the prison in South Florida where he is serving a 10-year sentence.

Isis Sierra read on camera words that she claimed her brother had conveyed to her from the correctional facility, in which the singer describes conditions of extreme isolation.

"They have me locked in a box, without showering, without clothes, without a blanket to cover myself, sleeping on a 'bare' mattress," the musician's message states.

Sierra demands "that they tell me what is happening with my brother," quoted Telemundo 51.

The news channel contacted the "South Florida Reception Center," but so far, has not received any comments regarding the singer's situation.

Chocolate MC was sentenced last March to 10 years in prison, followed by five years of probation, after accepting a plea deal for several offenses.
