The informal currency market in Cuba will open this Tuesday with a drop in the euro, which has fallen by three pesos compared to the record it reached on Monday.
A first hour of this April 7th, the European currency falls to 585 CUP.
The dollar, for its part, remains stable at 520 CUP.
The US dollar remains unchanged for the third consecutive day, consolidating the level reached after breaking the 515 CUP barrier last week.
Exchange Rate Evolution
In the case of the restless Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), today it remains unchanged at 395 CUP, the same rate at which it was sold yesterday.

100 EUR = 58,500 CUP.
200 EUR = 117,000 CUP.
500 EUR = 292,500 CUP.
The euro's decline today occurs against a backdrop marked by the recent issuance of 2,000 and 5,000 peso banknotes by the Central Bank of Cuba (BCC), a measure that has been interpreted by the public as a clear sign of inflation and loss of value of the Cuban peso.
In addition, the stagnation of the "floating rate" of the BCC continues, which keeps the official euro around 554 CUP, far below the value that prevails in the informal market.
This growing gap reinforces the perception that the state exchange rate still does not reflect the country's economic reality.
