The Cuban reggaeton artist Velito El Bufón surprised his followers by sharing images of the interior of a new property in Cuba on his Instagram stories, accompanied by the message: "Thanks to Eleguá and hard work, another property."

The photos show a home with modern finishes: a living room with dark gray sofas, a dining area with a glass table and gray and white chairs, a floor of white marble with gray veins, a chandelier on the ceiling, and dark curtains.

A second image reveals a hallway with marble flooring, a kitchen with black glass cabinets, a white countertop, and decorative white lanterns on the floor, all set against walls in shades of white and beige.

The detail that did not go unnoticed was the word "another": Velito made it clear that this is not his first property on the island, which indicates a real estate portfolio in development as the artist advances his career in the music world.

The mention of Elegguá —orisha of the Yoruba religion and Santería, deity of paths and opportunities, highly revered in Cuba— links the acquisition to its public narrative of faith, sacrifice, and personal growth.

The post comes just a day after the artist visited the Basilica Sanctuary of the Virgin of Charity of Cobre in Santiago de Cuba, where he shared comparison photos taken exactly two years ago with the message: "We started from scratch and here we are, dreams come true and we're going for more."

The moment couldn't be more tumultuous for Velito. In mid-April, he officially announced his relationship with Paula Martínez, a Spanish cabin crew member, sharing a romantic video precisely on the 21st birthday of Thalía, the mother of his two children.

The move earned him the nickname "the Shakiro of Cuba" on social media and a viral response from Thalía, who shared a video with her son that gathered over 409,000 views and 95,000 likes in less than 24 hours, with the message: "I am a single woman, my children are not looking for a dad."

Velito El Bufón, the stage name of Dariel Gutiérrez Pérez, has amassed over 700,000 followers on Instagram and millions of views on digital platforms.

Every post from Velito sparks conversation, and the new house is no exception: among admirers of his rise and critics of his personal life, the artist continues to be one of the most talked-about names in Cuban showbiz in 2026.
