The Goddess once again demonstrated that her commitment to children with cancer goes far beyond words: the Cuban singer donated an additional $20,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during the annual charity gala of the medical center, held on Friday in Miami, and later shared on social media how she experienced a night that deeply marked her.
The event was the FedEx St. Jude Angels & Stars Gala, the most important charity event of the hospital in South Florida, held at the InterContinental Miami with nearly 500 attendees, all with high purchasing power and ready to make substantial donations.
The artist arrived with her husband, the music producer Rey El Mago, and they both posed on the red carpet.
For the occasion, La Diosa chose an elegant long silver dress with embroidery and embellishments, transparent heels, and red lipstick.
She explained her choice herself: "I chose this color because it gave me a sense of tenderness. I was going to a place where I didn't want to stand out with a bright color, but I did want to look elegant. I wanted to look refined; I wanted to present myself beautifully because it was a formal event, and I wanted to be very elegant."
The hall featured giant screens distributed throughout the space, champagne, a high-quality dinner, and an organization that impressed the singer.
During the night, stories of child patients from the hospital were presented, including the testimony of a family whose son was diagnosed with widespread spinal cancer at the age of four and is now free from the disease thanks to St. Jude.
It was that moment that changed everything for La Diosa.
"It was here when I stood up and donated another 20,000," the artist confessed, describing how the tears and applause from the room led her to make that decision on the spot.
The next day, La Diosa posted a video on Instagram lasting almost five minutes, detailing all the aspects of the evening, with nearly 19,000 views and over 2,200 reactions.
"I never thought I would experience all the emotions I felt that night," said the singer, clearly moved.
And he concluded with a message for his followers: "It was a wonderful night, a great experience for me, and I'm leaving this video here to encourage everyone to always remember that by donating just a little bit of what you have, you save lives."
This second contribution adds to the $20,000 that La Diosa donated in February, when she fulfilled her promise to donate the entire prize she won for placing third in the reality show "El Rancho de Destino."
On that occasion, he stated: "I promised that this money would serve a greater purpose than myself."
That commitment was made public in January 2026, when La Diosa promised from the very first day of the reality show to donate any prize she won to children with cancer.
The reaction from her followers on social media was immediate and emotional, with messages labeling her as "Cuban pride" and highlighting the consistency between her words and her actions.
One of the most applauded comments summed up the general sentiment: "Someone criticized me when I said that you are a Cuban pride. Today you reaffirm that, not with words but with actions."
With this second donation, the total amount donated by La Diosa to St. Jude Hospital has risen to 40,000 dollars in less than two months, establishing her as one of the major Hispanic donors to an institution that has increased the pediatric cancer survival rate from 20% to over 80% since 1962.
