CiberCuba Noticias has broken another historical barrier on Facebook by surpassing 5 million followers, a new milestone that solidifies CiberCuba's main page as one of the largest digital communities of Cubans both on the island and abroad.
The page has reached 5,000,043 followers, according to audience data from Meta. The community maintains a balanced composition, with 53.5% women and 46.5% men, and a particularly strong presence in the age segments of 25 to 54 years.
This new record confirms a trajectory of sustained growth. In 2020, CiberCuba Noticias surpassed one million followers on Facebook; in 2022, the page exceeded two million; in 2023 it reached three million; and in April 2025 it celebrated four million followers.
The jump to five million comes after a period of strong audience expansion across social media, the web, and mobile apps. In March 2025, CiberCuba started the year with historic audience records, including 911.9 million views on Facebook in 28 days and nearly 1.43 million active users on the web and app during a week.
A month later, the main Facebook page recorded another significant milestone: after surpassing four million followers, it accumulated in less than a month 1 billion views, 10.9 million interactions, and more than 180,000 new followers, figures that confirmed CiberCuba's ability to connect with a massive, active, and diverse audience.
An informed community despite censorship
The growth of CiberCuba Noticias is not only reflected in an accumulated number of followers. It represents the trust of millions of readers who turn to the outlet daily to inform themselves about Cuban reality, immigration, Miami, U.S. politics, human rights, the economic crisis on the island, entertainment, and sports.
In a context marked by the censorship of the Cuban regime, digital blockades, and the persecution of independent voices, every new follower reinforces a community that seeks verified, immediate information without official filters.
This connection has become particularly evident during periods of high-impact news coverage. In January 2026, CiberCuba achieved a historic record on Facebook with 96 million views in a single day, during the coverage of Nicolás Maduro's arrest, President Donald Trump's press conference, and the political implications for Cuba.
Beyond Facebook
Although Facebook remains one of the main platforms for connecting with the Cuban audience, CiberCuba has also strengthened its own channels and other distribution spaces. The website, mobile app, and Google Discover are part of a strategy to reach readers wherever they consume information.
In October 2025, the media explained to its readers how to configure Google Discover to follow all the news from CiberCuba, providing an additional way to receive content directly on mobile, without solely relying on the algorithms of social networks.
The expansion of the community also reaffirms CiberCuba's role as a meeting point for a dispersed nation. From Cuba, the United States, Spain, and other countries, millions of readers participate, comment, share, and help amplify stories that often do not find space in the official media of the island.
Thank you to our audience
Surpassing five million followers on Facebook is a reason for celebration for the entire CiberCuba team, but it is also a responsibility. Each number represents people who trust, demand, criticize, share, and support the daily work of a newsroom committed to informing about Cuba and its people.
To all our followers, readers, collaborators, and users who accompany us on social media, our website, app, and other platforms: thank you for helping this community grow and for keeping alive a free, diverse, and connected Cuban voice that reflects the reality of the country. CiberCuba will continue to work with rigor, immediacy, and editorial commitment to remain an informational reference for Cubans around the world.
