The immigration attorney Willy Allen remarked that Cuba will not be saved without external intervention: "Cuba alone will not be saved. Only if there is an intervention from the U.S."
Days earlier, on his weekly program on CiberCuba, he expressed with optimism that he hopes for "substantial changes" in Cuba in the coming weeks, including the resumption of visa interviews at the Havana embassy.
"I have high hopes that in May there will be substantial changes that once again include successful interviews in Havana that will approve your visa to go to the United States," Allen declared on the program hosted by journalist Tania Costa.
Her statements come amid growing expectations for changes on the island driven by the U.S., which, however, has stated that it does not see significant progress in negotiations with the regime, leading many to not rule out future military action.
