CIMEX promotes "the best gift for dad": Gas motorcycles for $1,330

CIMEX is selling the Lexzuki Panther 150cc motorcycle for $1,330 as a Father's Day gift, while the link to EnvíosCuba in its campaign leads to a site that is already closed.

CIMEX Corporation launched a campaign this week on Facebook for Father's Day, promoting the motorcycle Lexzuki Panther 150cc as “the best gift for dad”, priced at 1,330 dollars at its Physical Store Puerto Envío, located on Avenida del Puerto, between Pote and Hacendado, in the municipality of Old Havana.

The publication, released last Monday on the official page of the state-owned company, announces that the model is available in several colors and that payment can be made in cash or with a Tarjeta Clásica.

"The best gift for Dad is at the Puerto Envío Physical Store! The Lexzuki Panther 150cc combustion motorcycles are now available in various colors. $1,330 USD," the ad states.

At the same time, CIMEX also promoted the same model through its e-commerce platform almacen-on.com, aimed at the Cuban diaspora wishing to send gifts to family on the island from anywhere in the world.

"Surprise Dad with the amazing Lexzuki Panther 150cc CKD: a stylish, durable motorcycle perfect for everyday use. From anywhere in the world, you can buy it for your family in Cuba quickly, safely, and without complications," states the post on social media.

However, the online campaign presents a problem: the CIMEX page includes a link that redirects to the site EnvíosCuba.com, but that platform is no longer operational.

On their website, EnvíosCuba posted a farewell message explaining that "due to circumstances beyond our control, our platform can no longer provide services," although they assured that they will fulfill the orders that have already been approved and are in progress.

"Thank you very much for your loyalty over so many years. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you," concludes the closing message of the platform.

The price of $1,330 for the Lexzuki Panther 150cc contrasts sharply with the average salary in Cuba, which doesn’t exceed $50 a month, making these offers practically inaccessible for most of the population without remittances from abroad.

It is not the first time that CIMEX promotes motorcycles for special occasions: for Mother’s Day in May, the company offered models priced between $1,950 and $2,550, and in the resale market, a Panther GN 150-7R is listed on Revolico for $2,235, well above the official price.

Since August 2025, Cuba expanded the authorized entities for selling motorcycles for foreign currency, including CIMEX, TRD, Solimport, SASA, Tradex, Transimport, and Divep, as part of the trade dollarization policy promoted by the regime.
