Ezequiel Martínez Ricardo, a 21-year-old resident of the 26 de Julio neighborhood in the Holguín municipality, has been missing for five days without his family being able to locate him, according to an urgent call shared on Facebook by his sister Arlettys Oro.
Ezequiel left his house on the morning of Saturday, June 28, to carry out his usual sales activities and never returned.
"I raise my voice, calling out to everyone, to every person who can hear me and see me right now, to partake in my pain, in the pain of my family, after the loss of my younger brother Ezequiel Martínez Ricardo," Arlettys expressed in the video, with visible distress.

The family has organized walking and biking searches through the mountains and forested areas of Holguín, including the area known as Isla Torre, the forest, and the community of Hilda Torres, which were among the places Ezequiel used to frequent.
Those who wish to join the searches in the mountains must do so in pairs, as recommended by the family for safety reasons.
Arlettys also made a direct appeal to institutions with security cameras: "I invite all institutions that have security cameras to monitor the roads, the pathways, and the exits from the roads."
"Now, please cooperate by reviewing these security tapes from Saturday morning until today."
The roads identified as a priority for this review are La Estuna Road, Mayarí Road, and the outer road of Holguín, suggesting that the family is considering the possibility that the young man may have left the urban area.
According to Arlettys, the authorities are already aware of the case: "The police are already in action, the hospitals are on alert. We have to find my brother Ezequiel."

The case adds to a series of recent disappearances in Holguín that have followed the same pattern: families turning to social media due to the absence of an official early alert system for missing persons in Cuba, comparable to the Amber Alert systems present in other countries.
In November 2025, relatives were seeking help to locate the recruit Dannier Quesada Morales, 19 years old, who had been missing since leaving a military unit in the same province.
In January 2026, a 35-year-old Cuban with schizophrenia had been missing for almost a month in Holguín without any effective response from the authorities. This same month in June, a mother was desperately searching for her son who went missing in Havana through Facebook.
The video by Arletty accumulated over 17,000 views and nearly 300 comments, reflecting the citizen mobilization that these alerts generate when the State does not provide accessible response mechanisms.
"Request all kinds of assistance in this matter, that Christ Jesus be our anchor and lead us to find Ezekiel," concluded the sister of the missing young man.
