A video posted on TikTok by the user @lauraibonth has sparked debate on social media regarding the beauty of Cuban women, accumulating over 1,540 likes, 334 comments, and 77 shares in just two days, using the hashtag #cubanosenmiami as a banner of the identity pride of the diaspora.

The video reflects a deeply held belief within the Cuban community in Miami: that the Cuban woman is the most beautiful among Latinas. And although formal rankings do not always support this perception, individual accolades to Cuban figures in recent years provide compelling evidence.

Ana de Armas is the most compelling example. The Cuban actress was chosen as the most beautiful celebrity of 2025 according to a global poll by Ranker, surpassing Margot Robbie and Scarlett Johansson.

That recognition is not isolated. In 2022, De Armas ranked seventh in the WonderList of the 10 most beautiful women in the world, while her compatriot Camila Cabello secured the sixth spot on the same list, according to data collected by specialized media.

The following year, Ana de Armas rose to the third position among the most attractive women in the world in a subsequent WonderList survey, and in August 2023, she was named the most attractive woman of the summer for the Spanish, according to the firm Personality Media.

In the realm of formal competitions, Cuba also scores points. Lorena Suárez, Miss Intercontinental Cuba 2025, was the first runner-up in that international pageant held in January 2026.

Lina Luaces, Miss Cuba 2025, was included in the list of the 50 most beautiful people by People en Español, an acknowledgment that reinforces the Cuban presence in the realms of Latin American beauty.

In the immediate future, the competition Miss Universe Cuba 2026 is already generating excitement, with Daniela Reyes leading the favorites ranking with 16,600 interactions according to Missosology Cuba, while Carolina Roca has been described by her followers as "beautiful, elegant, natural, and intelligent."

Not all the outlook is positive, however. A survey from the site Mujeres Latinas published in March 2024 excluded Cuba from its top five countries with the most beautiful women, featuring Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela in that list.

But for the Cuban community in Miami, the rankings are just part of the story. The video by @lauraibonth and its thousands of interactions show that pride in Cuban beauty does not require external validation: it is upheld by figures like Ana de Armas, who in 2025 once again proved that a Cuban can top any list in the world.
