The Cuban actress Zajaris Fernández responded this Monday with an extensive video on Instagram to the statements that Alexis Valdés published that same day on Facebook, in which the comedian denied physically assaulting anyone. Instead of remaining silent, Zajaris reaffirmed her version of the altercation and confirmed that she has already filed a legal complaint.

"The episode with me has not been exclusive to me; throughout my entire time working, there have been similar situations with other people," the actress commented at the beginning of the live.

The altercation between them occurred during the final of the 2026 World Cup, when —according to Zajaris— Valdés confronted her repeatedly, calling her a "drug addict" and knocked down her phone, breaking the screen and the camera. That incident, which was partially recorded, sparked a public exchange that escalated to Valdés' response on Monday, July 27.

"The complaint has been filed. It has already been served, but I cannot speak or provide any details unless I am with the lawyers, the BPP," Zajaris stated in the video, referring to the law firm representing her in the legal process.

He also announced that next week he will hold a live session from the office of those lawyers to answer public questions and provide all the details that the process allows to be revealed.

Regarding the aggression, she was emphatic: "Yes, there was aggression, it's in the video, there was aggression. And when the video stopped, there was also aggression." She challenged any witness who wants to assert otherwise to do so publicly, reminding them that they would have to prove it in court.

Zajaris also revealed that her distance from Valdés did not start with the altercation, but nearly two years ago, due to financial reasons. "There’s money circulating from my work. It doesn’t matter if I have a husband, if I don't, whether I'm alone or not. It's from my work. They haven't paid me," she stated.

Regarding the comedian's behavior, she was straightforward: "In my opinion, you’ve done this several times. The difference this time is that you had an audience, and you lost control. The same thing happened with Vladimir, exactly the same." She also mentioned similar incidents with other musicians and actors with whom Valdés had worked over the years.

The actress also denied the insinuations about her condition that night: "I don't consume a drop of alcohol, I wasn't drunk, I wasn't high, I wasn't any of that they're saying. Not at all." She clarified that she had consumed three bottles of water and half a Red Bull.

Despite the harshness of his words, Zajaris acknowledged the talent of the comedian and thanked him for giving him work during his health struggles. "I will never stop recognizing that Alexis Valdés took theater in this city to another level," he said, although he clarified that this does not justify mistreatment nor does it compel him to remain silent.

For his part, Valdés had stated in his video on Monday: "I have never hit anyone and I am completely against manipulation, misrepresentation, defamation, and the media abuse that some people exert over others to ruthlessly destroy their reputation."
