The Disenso Foundation, the think tank associated with the Spanish party Vox, announced on Tuesday the production of a documentary titled "Delcy: Anatomy of a Chavista Enforcer", focusing on the political career of Venezuela's current interim president.
The announcement was made through the official account of the foundation on X, accompanied by a cinematic-style trailer and a statement describing Delcy Rodríguez as "the woman who, for over two decades, has implemented the decisions that have allowed the chavista tyranny to remain in power."
The foundation did not specify the exact release date of the full documentary, only noting that it will arrive "very soon."
According to the Disenso Foundation, the production covers the major episodes of Rodríguez's political career: his time as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2014 to 2017, the presidency of the National Constituent Assembly in 2017, the Executive Vice Presidency since 2018, and his current leadership of the Venezuelan state.
Rodríguez assumed the presidency of Venezuela on January 5, 2026, following the capture of Nicolás Maduro by United States forces two days earlier. The Supreme Tribunal of Justice of Venezuela ordered her appointment under the figure of "forced absence," and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces formally recognized her as commander-in-chief on January 29 of that year.
The Disenso Foundation was established in 2020 as the intellectual and cultural arm of Vox and is presided over by Santiago Abascal. According to reports from the Spanish press, the party has transferred nearly 13 million euros since its inception. The organization has a track record of producing documentaries critical of the Bolivarian axis, including "Unmasking the São Paulo Forum" and "María Corina: The Conquest of Freedom."
The documentary arrives at a time of particular political relevance for Rodríguez. In addition to serving as head of state, she is holding conversations with the U.S. and the IMF amidst the deep economic crisis in Venezuela. The Spanish outlet OKDIARIO, in covering the announcement, pointed out that the Disenso Foundation also criticizes the "permissiveness" of Washington towards the current Venezuelan leader.
Rodríguez is banned from entering the European Union due to sanctions related to serious human rights violations, and in 2020 he was involved in the so-called "Delcygate" when he met with then Spanish Minister José Luis Ábalos at Madrid-Barajas airport despite being prohibited from entering the Schengen area.
The Disenso Foundation summarized the purpose of the documentary as follows: "A journey through the main episodes of the political career of the woman who, for over two decades, has executed the decisions that have allowed the Chavista tyranny to remain in power."
