Payaso x Ley received news that has him "super excited, super happy": his song "Secreto (Remix)" was nominated for the Premios Juventud 2026 in the category of Best Dance Track, the award for best dance song.
The Havana artist, raised in El Cerro, announced it in an Instagram reel with a phrase that says it all: "From El Cerro to the world today." In the video, he invited his followers to vote for him on the official awards site, where he competes against names like Shakira, Rauw Alejandro, Eladio Carrión, Farruko, and Becky G, among others.
“Tell me, my lovely people, I am super happy, incredibly thrilled, my team and I woke up to the news that we are nominated for the Juventud Awards 2026,” said the artist in the reel.
«Secreto (Remix)» is a collaboration with Spanish artists Nyno Vargas and Omar Montes, as well as Ernesto Losa, Jeyy Lucas, Richard Morales, and Elebbara. The single was released a few months ago.
The nomination of Payaso x Ley comes in a year of great promise for the artist, who went viral with "Un Tin", a song that blends operatic singing with a Cuban cast and sparked widespread debate on social media about whether the voice truly belonged to him.
But the good fortune is not just theirs. Cuban music makes a strong presence in this edition of the awards with several representatives.
Bebeshito makes history as the first Cuban reggaeton artist nominated in the category of The New Male Generation. The artist, who filled the Pitbull Stadium in Miami with around 20,000 people, is establishing himself as one of the most important figures in the genre.
Gente de Zona competes in the Favorite Group or Duo of the Year category alongside Maná, Reik, Morat, and Rawayana, among others. And the Cuban-American Pitbull appears in the OMG Collaboration category for "Damn I Love Miami," recorded with Lil Jon.
The Premios Juventud 2026 will take place on September 3 at the Starlite Amphitheater in Marbella, Spain, marking the first time in its 23 editions that the gala will be held outside the American continent. The winners in the 50 categories available will be chosen by the public through their votes.
