The Havana singer Bebeshito received one of the most important news of his career this Tuesday: he is included in the official list of nominees for Premios Juventud 2026 in the category "The New Male Generation," alongside nine other artists: Clarent, Damn Goldo, DFZM, DIA, Juan Duque, Kris R., Maisak, Santos Bravos, and Sebas Barcenas.
The nomination comes at a peak moment for the artist, whose real name is Oniel Ernesto Columbié Campos. In August 2025, he became the first Cuban supporting artist to fill the Kaseya Center in Miami, with nearly 20,000 attendees. Months later, Billboard included him among the 26 Latin artists to watch in 2026, and in March of that year he celebrated having accumulated 24 gold and platinum records with RIAA certifications.
Bebeshito is not the only Cuban-born artist among the nominees for this edition.
The duo Gente de Zona, comprised of Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom, is competing in the category "Favorite Group or Duo of the Year" alongside bands such as Maná, Reik, Morat, and Rawayana, among others.
The Cuban-American Pitbull —born in Miami to Cuban parents— also appears nominated in the "OMG Collaboration" category for the song "Damn I Love Miami," which he recorded with Lil Jon and was released in September 2025.
In total, the 2026 edition of the Premios Juventud features 338 artists distributed across 50 categories, according to the list published by Univision.
The gala will mark a milestone in the history of the event: it will be the first time in its 23 years that the ceremony is held outside of the Americas. The event will take place on September 3, 2026 at the Starlite Amphitheater in Marbella, Spain, under the theme "Connect to the Vibe" and as part of the inaugural PJ Fest.
The live broadcast will be available on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and ViX, and the public can vote for their favorite artists at premiosjuventud.com.
For Bebeshito, who represented the Cuban cast at the Billboard Latin Music Week 2025 and started recording songs since the eighth grade in Havana, this nomination solidifies his position as one of the most visible exponents of the Cuban cast in the international market.
