Karol G did it again. During her concert in Toronto, the Colombian paused the show, took the microphone, and dropped the unexpected news: her sixth studio album, titled No me arrepiento de sentir tanto, arrives on Friday, August 7th. Yes, in one week.
La Bichota made the announcement during her performance at Rogers Stadium, the third stop on her Viajando por el mundo Tropitour, which kicked off just on July 24 in Chicago. With her unmistakable style, she set the stage before revealing the news: "I've been working on a project for a couple of months, I've been locked away making new music for a couple of months, I've been in this color we have on stage right now," she said in front of thousands of fans, pointing to the blue lighting of the venue.
And then, without further ado: "I want to announce that my new album will be released on August 7th. It's an album I can't wait to sing with all of you. It's called I Don't Regret Feeling So Much."
The new album arrives just a year after Tropicoqueta, her previous work released in June 2025, confirming that Karol G is experiencing one of the most prolific moments of her career.
Along with the announcement, the artist revealed the official cover of the album: a minimalist aesthetic image in blue tones, featuring her in a bra, low-rise pants, and a belt, with her heart tattoo made of barbed wire as the visual focal point.
The post on Instagram sparked madness: 559,000 "likes" in just six hours. That's La Bichota.
But the album announcement wasn't the only memorable moment of the night in Toronto. The venue's cameras captured Drake in the audience, enjoying and dancing during the performance, which sparked an immediate ovation.
The new album didn't arrive without prior hints. On July 24, at the first concert of the Tropitour in Chicago, Karol G performed live Matadora, a classic reggaeton track full of energy and self-confidence that already hinted at a shift from the sound of Tropicoqueta. That single is part of the new project.
The year 2026 has been nothing short of astronomical for the artist from Medellín. In April, she became the first Latina to headline Coachella, and in May, she took home two historic awards at the American Music Awards, including the International Artist of Excellence Award, an accolade that hadn't been awarded since Whitney Houston in 2009.
Additionally, there is a special detail for Cubans: as reported on July 24, the new album would include Yo Aprendí, a song by Cuban singer Danay Suárez, a collaboration that already appeared on the 2019 album Ocean and will make a return in this new project.
The Viajando por el mundo Tropitour tour includes 64 concerts in 20 countries and will conclude on July 24, 2027, at the San Siro Stadium in Milan.
