Camila Bordón Arenal, daughter of Cuban actors Mijail Mulkay and Jacqueline Arenal, made her debut this week in a global production with the premiere of The Forbidden Woman on Netflix, available since Wednesday the 29th on the platform.
The series, produced by Caracol TV, arrives with 61 episodes and is also distributed in other regions under the title Forbidden Woman. The plot follows a woman who marries young to a politician and ends up falling in love with a singer, triggering family and political conflicts.
Camila plays Betty, a character to whom she also lends her voice, allowing her to showcase her dual talent as both an actress and a singer. "What a joy to be able to sing and lend my voice to this character that I loved so much and taught me so much," the actress wrote on her Instagram account when announcing the release of the production.
Days before the release, the young woman had shared her excitement with her followers: "Only five days left and I'm dying of excitement."
The main cast of the production includes Valerie Domínguez, David Palacio, Rodrigo Candamil, and Angélica Blandón, among other actors with recognized careers in Latin American television.
Camila, born in Cuba, trained as an actress at the Royal School of Dramatic Art (RESAD) in Madrid, where she also developed skills in dance, singing, and piano.
His most well-known television work to date was the character Jymel in the series Paraíso Blanco, a production in which his father Mijail Mulkay also participated, earning him a nomination for the 2023 Chip TV Awards.
In 2025, she took another step into music with the release of her debut single, titled "Me da la gana", thereby solidifying a career that combines acting and singing.
With this debut on Netflix, Camila Bordón takes a significant leap in her career, following in the footsteps of her parents in the international Spanish-language television circuit.
