JipMusic Global, the label behind the biggest hit of the Cuban cast in 2026, addressed the rumors that had been circulating on social media for weeks this Friday: Maluma will not be featured in the remix of “Dichavate,” the phenomenon taking the world by storm.
Through an Instagram story from the account @jipmusic_global_, the label was clear: "Don't believe everything they say, Maluma was never interested in being on the remix of DICHAVATE. We spoke with Sony Music Entertainment, and he was never willing to be on the song."
The clarification comes after Papi Juancho became one of the most famous fans of the song: he posted two TikToks from a sauna with the song playing in the background, both garnering tens of millions of views, which sparked rumors of a possible official collaboration.
But although Maluma is out, the remix does exist. JipMusic confirmed in the same story that it is already ready and features "two international artists in a good moment," without revealing their names.
That's where the juiciest speculations come in: weeks before the denial, the names that were buzzing the most on social media were those of Myke Towers and Bad Gyal. The label neither confirmed nor explicitly denied either of them, so the door remains slightly open for them to be the chosen ones.
Bad Gyal had already shown her submission to the song since January, when she posted a TikTok enjoying it with the caption "What is it about this music?", and she hasn't stopped dancing to it at her concert tour. The Spanish artist has a history of collaborations and has previously worked with Cuban artists.
What was indeed surprising was the tone of JipMusic's message, which, beyond the denial, sounded almost like a manifesto: "I believe that DICHAVATE is still in a good moment to continue being a song of Cuba for Cubans, demonstrating the talent and strength of Cuban music."
A statement that speaks volumes about the significance the topic has taken on and the confidence of its creators in the cast without the need for big external names. And to top it off, the story included in the corner a line from the song itself: "The night is dark and full of terrors, bro."
The success that underpins this confidence is hard to dispute. "Dichavate," released on December 24, 2025 by Ya Ice Dilan, Rey Tony, Helabusador, JipMusic Global, and DJ Honda, has amassed over 96 million views on YouTube, exceeds 112 million streams on Spotify, and is approaching 10 million creations on TikTok.
In Spain, it reached the fourth position on the Top 50 of Spotify, remained 126 days on the charts, and accumulated over 32.7 million streams in that market. At the end of July, "Dichavate" entered the global Top 50 of Spotify and ranked as the fifth most listened to song in the world.
With those figures on the table, perhaps JipMusic is right: the remix will come, but "Dichavate" has already won on its own.
