Bebeshito has a dream within the dream: not only to win the Youth Award 2026 in the category “The New Male Generation”, but also for his mother to be the one to come on stage to accept it. The Cuban singer shared an intimate and unfiltered moment in his Instagram stories that melted the hearts of his followers.
The artist, nominated for the first time for Premios Juventud, openly acknowledged that there is an obstacle in his path: the gala will take place on September 3 at the Starlite Amphitheater in Marbella, Spain, and he cannot make that trip. "I can't go to Spain right now," he admitted candidly without further explanation.
Far from succumbing to sadness, the singer let his imagination soar and created a movie scene: his mother, Chavela Campo, sitting among the audience in Marbella, listening as they announce her name as the winner and going up to the stage to collect the trophy in her place.
"So I keep thinking and realize that the awards are in Spain, and right now I can't go to Spain. But then I remember that my mom can go to Spain. So I picture my mom sitting in a seat there, and they announce the winner of the best male generation award: Bebeshito. My mom goes up to receive the award, and she makes a video call to tell me that we did it. How beautiful it would be for my mom to receive my first international award. It would be her receiving it, proud of me," wrote the artist.
The image painted —Chavela Campo proudly, during a video call— is completely consistent with the relationship Bebeshito has always shown with his mother in public. In January 2024, hegifted her a house in Havana, in April he took her on vacation to Punta Cana—where he showed her off with a "you look amazing, titi, I miss you so much"—andsurprised her again for Mother's Day in May of that same year.
The nomination comes at one of the best moments in the career of the Cuban reggaeton artist. In August 2025, he packed the Kaseya Center in Miami with nearly 20,000 people, becoming the first reggaeton artist to achieve this. Billboard included him among the 26 Latin artists to watch in 2026, and in March of this year, he celebrated 24 gold and platinum certifications from the RIAA.
In the category "The New Male Generation," he is competing alongside nine other artists: Clarent, Damn Goldo, DFZM, DIA, Juan Duque, Kris R., Maisak, Santos Bravos, and Sebas Barcenas. The 2026 Premios Juventud gala is historic: it is the first time in 23 years that the TelevisaUnivision awards ceremony is being held in Europe instead of the American continent, and it will be broadcast on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and ViX.
If the dream comes true, Chavela Campo could become the unexpected star of the night.
