The Cuban singer Ja Rulay starred in one of the most talked-about events in the Latin urban scene by meeting in Alicante with the legendary Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Tito El Bambino and the Cuban duo Gente de Zona.
In the image they shared, Ja Rulay appears alongside Tito El Bambino, Alexander Delgado, and Randy Malcom—the two members of Gente de Zona—in the lobby of a hotel. The caption that accompanied the photos didn't leave much to the imagination. When posting the image on Instagram, they wrote: "Expect great things."
But this meeting didn’t end there. Additionally, they published a video of the encounter between Tito El Bambino and Ja Rulay, sparking further speculation that a collaboration might be in the works.
The moment couldn't be more timely for Ja Rulay. The artist, who launched his own record label PHP —standing for Peace, Humility, and Patience— in March of this year, also parted ways with Planet Records in June on good terms, and released his song "El Norte" just one day before the meeting in Alicante.
Tito El Bambino, one of the pioneers of reggaeton with decades of experience since his time in the duo Héctor & Tito, is no stranger to the Cuban scene: he had already worked with Lenier Mesa as a songwriter in 2023 and announced a collaboration with Cuban Wow Popy in 2024, making Ja Rulay the next logical name on that list.
If the chemistry seen in Alicante translates into study, the result could be one of the most anticipated themes in Latin urban music for the remainder of 2026.
