The Cuban broadcaster Rolando Zaldívar was spotted again on the streets of Miami, where he expressed feeling "very physically exhausted" as he continues to go through a period of extreme vulnerability.
The community project Conducta Dade reported this Tuesday on Facebook that its members met with the communicator, who welcomed the visit with joy and agreed to sit down and talk with them for a long while.
"We tried to help him in every way we could," said the group, which emphasized a phrase repeated several times by Zaldívar during the meeting: "He is very tired, very tired physically".
The organization did not provide further details about his health status or the exact location where he was found.
However, he did announce that he will later share part of the conversation so that the speaker can explain what he is currently experiencing.
"We continue to do what we can: reach out, listen, and offer a helping hand without judgment," expressed Conducta Dade, a project known for supporting vulnerable individuals in South Florida.
The new meeting confirms that the project remains pending regarding its status, but the fatigue expressed by Zaldívar raises alarms once again about the future of the popular Cuban broadcaster.
Zaldívar was one of the most recognized voices of Cuban radio during the 1990s, especially for his work on the program «Disco Fiesta 98», broadcast by Radio Ciudad de La Habana.
After leaving Cuba, he lived in Mexico and Houston before settling in Miami in 2014.
Over the years, personal issues and addiction distanced him from the media and led him into an increasingly difficult situation.
His case gained public attention in November 2025, after he was arrested in Miami for petty theft and possession of cocaine.
The release of his police photograph raised concerns about his noticeable physical deterioration.
A month later, Conducta Dade successfully located him and began to support him, while asking the Cuban community to reach out to him with respect and solidarity.
In February 2026, Zaldívar publicly acknowledged that he was facing an addiction and stated that he had been using substances for approximately a year.
During that conversation, he expressed his desire for change and left a phrase that reflected both the gravity of his situation and his intention to recover: "After reaching rock bottom, all that's left is to rise up."
The announcer subsequently entered a rehabilitation center, but left the program in April.
Conducta Dade then explained that recovery from an addiction is not a linear process and that a first attempt does not always suffice.
