The solidarity profile Conducta en Dade, known for its community work with homeless individuals in South Florida, shared a heartfelt message about broadcaster Rolando Zaldívar, an iconic voice of Cuban radio in the 90s who is currently facing a moment of extreme vulnerability in Miami.

"Today we met Rolando Zaldívar. For those who don't know him, he was a successful Cuban broadcaster, a voice recognized by many for years. We spent some time with him, tried to converse to connect and find ways to assist him during this difficult time in his life," published the Facebook profile.

The text, accompanied by a video, invites the community to offer support to the former broadcaster by greeting him and accompanying him if they recognize him in the streets. "Our intention is to be able to locate him again in the coming days to continue helping him," they added.

Zaldívar, who was recently arrested in Miami for petty theft and possession of cocaine, had made a significant impact on social media after his police record went viral, showing him in a very deteriorated state. The news was shared by presenter Alexander Otaola on his show Hola! Ota-Ola.

According to county jail records, a bail of $150 was set for him.

After leaving Cuba, Rolando Zaldívar lived in Mexico and Houston before settling in Miami in 2014. However, personal problems and drug use distanced him from the media and led him into vulnerable situations.

This is not the first time he has faced legal troubles. In 2019, he was arrested for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon, in which he claimed to have been the victim of a false accusation.
