A traffic accident at the intersection of 3rd and 60th in the neighborhood of Miramar, Playa municipality, Havana, left a completely overturned jeep and a white car with severe damage.
The images of the accident were shared on Facebook by user Onel Torres Roche, showing the dark-colored jeep completely overturned, with its wheels in the air, while the white sedan has its driver's door destroyed and the body crushed on its left side.
The extent of the visible damage on both vehicles suggests that the collision occurred at high speed.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or the causes of the accident. The Cuban authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the incident.
Several users on social media speculated that the traffic light may have been out due to power outages, although there is no confirmation that this circumstance was related to the accident.
Miramar, an area known for its wide avenues and diplomatic headquarters, has recently been the scene of serious incidents. In June of this year, a fatal accident occurred at 5th Avenue and 42nd Street, resulting in at least one fatality and three damaged vehicles.
The incident occurs within the context of a persistent road accident crisis in Cuba. According to the National Road Safety Commission, in 2025, there were 7,538 traffic accidents, resulting in 750 fatalities and 6,718 injuries, figures that surpass those of the previous year.
