The end of summer in Varadero had an unexpected moment that quickly went viral: Thalía, the ex-partner of Cuban singer Velito El Bufón and mother of his two children, was spotted among the audience at the concert he gave at the Barceló Solymar Resort, and the images set social media ablaze.
The video, posted by the Instagram account @un_martitodurako8_live_oficial, shows Velito on stage while the audience surrounds him with their arms raised, on a night filled with colorful lights and the festive atmosphere of the season finale. And there, among the crowd, was 21-year-old Thalía, enjoying her ex's performance.
What caught the most attention was that she was not alone: her current boyfriend, the music producer Dany Herrera, was also present, and according to several commentators, they both posted Instagram stories with Velito's songs.
The scene divided the couple’s followers between those who applauded Thalía's attitude and those who did not fully understand it. "Nothing my people, supporting the father of her children is called maturity, plus that’s where the beans for her children come from," wrote a user in one of the most liked comments, receiving 411 reactions.
Other users were equally blunt. "Listen, she’s very into it and her new boyfriend too; both posted stories with his songs, and nothing happens. It's another level that the Cuban isn’t adapted to," noted another person, with 300 likes. And one follower summarized it like this: "Love is over, but time, friendship, and the kids are still there."
Of course, there were those who perceived the situation differently. "It must truly be a super strange moment... there are things, moments, and so on that nothing and no one can erase... her face says it all," someone commented.
This is not the first viral episode of Thalía at a concert of her ex. At the end of May, during the event "Start of Summer 2K26" in Varadero, she was also present, and her calm demeanor elicited a similar reaction on social media.
Velito and Thalía announced their breakup in February 2026, just 11 days after the birth of their second child, Thiago. Since then, each has moved on with their lives: he made his relationship with Paula Martínez, a Spanish cabin crew member, official in April; and Thalía introduced Dany Herrera as her partner in July, with a post that received over 12,500 likes.
The context has another ingredient: just days before the concert, Velito teased a new song with the line "Sitting on the jetski, the blonde riding," which his fans immediately interpreted as a reference to Paula Martínez.
Against that backdrop, the image of Thalía singing Velito's songs from the front row, with her boyfriend by her side, became the talk of the weekend. As one person summarized it: "I see it positively, she's supporting the father of her children; remember that if he is doing well, then her children are too."
