A man identified by the initials Y.R.M. has reportedly been arrested for his alleged connection to the death of Ramón Gresequi Rodríguez, the driver of the Nickel Mechanical Company (EMNI) who was reported missing and later found dead in Moa, Holguín.
The official profile Cazador Cazado reported this Thursday about the alleged detention and noted that Y.R.M. worked as a driver for the same company as Gresequi.
The publication attributed direct responsibility for the worker's death to the detainee.
According to the same source, Gresequi's body was allegedly transported in the cargo area of the truck he was driving until the location where it was subsequently found.
The profile also stated that the vehicle would have been taken to the Granadillo area in Sagua de Tánamo, where it was allegedly sold to two other individuals.
Those two citizens would also be detained, according to the publication.
The case began to be publicly known on September ninth, when family and friends requested help to locate Gresequi after losing contact with him and the truck he was driving.
The worker had left his workplace and was due to return shortly after, but he never came back, prompting a search that involved family, friends, and local residents.
Two days later, his body was found lifeless in the Yaguaneque area, in Moa, in a location identified in the initial reports as the Miraflores hill.
Subsequently, the official pro-government profile Realidades desde Holguín, linked to the Ministry of the Interior, stated that the body showed "multiple bruises" and that the authorities had opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the death and determine accountability.
