The Cuban influencer La Cintumbare broke her silence this Monday with a video posted on TikTok in which she claims to be doing well, explains where she is, and reveals that she sold her Instagram account to settle a debt.
The clip was recorded from the phone of a man he refers to as "Jíbaro" and arrives a day after his sister Maura issued a public alert stating that they hadn't heard from her in two days and that her Instagram account had vanished.
«I've seen it all, I already know they are looking for me, Interpol is after me. Why are they searching for me so much? Look, I’m an adult, I’m 30 years old, I’m here at Jíbaro's house, I can’t leave because I owe money here and I need to pay that money,» said the influencer at the beginning of the video.
La Cintumbare explained that she remains in that place of her own free will, bound by a financial commitment that she claims she cannot break: "This is a pact I have made with him, and I cannot let him down. Do you understand? I cannot leave Jíbaro's house, so don’t look for me anymore."
Regarding the mystery of her Instagram account, the response was straightforward: "I sold the other account, I had to sell it to pay off a debt. Ok, bye, I love you all, don’t look for me anymore, hope everything is well. Bye."
The video, however, also revealed details that raise concerns among those who follow the influencer and care about her health.
In a segment of the clip, La Cintumbare addresses her followers to ask for money and complains about the amounts she receives: "Send me 100 and up, because 'the stones' have gone up, the material has gone up (...) 20 pesos aren't enough, with 20 pesos I can only smoke two 'little stones'."
The reference to "stones" is a direct allusion to her crack use, a fact that she publicly admitted just days prior. Even the Cuban reggaeton artist Ja Rulay had already issued a public warning telling her that this consumption will destroy her.
La Cintumbare was deported from the United States to Cuba in February 2025 following a default order for failing to appear at a immigration hearing.
Since her return to the island, she has remained active on social media and generating controversy, although her situation has visibly deteriorated in recent weeks.
