The White House tightened its rhetoric against communism again on Monday, asserting that this ideology is incompatible with the constitutional principles and values of the United States.
Communism directly opposes the Constitution of the United States and American values, noted the official account of the White House on X in a message accompanied by a photograph of President Donald Trump holding a dark umbrella.
The publication also linked that stance to the internal political confrontation between Republicans and Democrats.
“While all Democrats voted against the largest tax cuts in U.S. history and over 100 refuse to condemn socialism, President Trump will ensure that communism never has a place in the United States,” stated the White House.
The reference to socialism comes just weeks after the House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning socialism "in all its forms" by 220 votes to 192.
The official House record shows that eight Democrats voted in favor, 192 against, and two declared their presence.
However, the resolution also included support for a Republican proposal on voter identification and citizenship verification, a provision that was one of the reasons cited by Democratic lawmakers for its rejection.
The message is part of an anti-communist line that the Trump administration has maintained during its second term.
At the beginning of September, the State Department once again disseminated a warning from Trump in which he described communism as a "deadly threat" to American freedom.
In July, Trump himself had turned to much more direct language to express his rejection of that ideology, stating during a speech that "with communism, everything goes to hell."
The emphasis on teaching about communism has also arrived in the educational sphere, particularly in Florida. Starting from the 2026-2027 school year, students in public schools in the state will receive mandatory new content about the history of communism, from sixth to twelfth grade.
The standards, approved by the Florida State Board of Education, include the study of regimes and events related to Cuba, China, the former Soviet Union, and other countries, and examine aspects such as the concentration of state power, political repression, and the economic and social consequences historically associated with communist governments.
The Florida Department of Education confirmed that those standards began to be implemented during the current school year, while Governor Ron DeSantis has presented them as a tool to teach students about the historical consequences of that ideology.
Additionally, Trump officially proclaimed an "Anticommunist Week" in the United States in November 2025, which was celebrated from the 2nd to the 8th of that month.
