A Cuban who posts on TikTok under the name @reflejoyk offered advice to single women in Miami: if they want to find a stable partner, they might need to stop searching for a prince charming among luxurious cars and nightlife parties, and pay more attention to the men who wake up early to work.
In a 55-second video that garnered nearly 73,000 views and over 1,200 comments, the Cuban reflected on the challenges of finding a partner and the importance of not being swayed by appearances.
According to what she explained, many women who are single in Miami do not necessarily want to remain alone; rather, they prefer to protect their peace of mind instead of getting involved in a relationship that would disrupt it.
However, she believes that some are searching for the ideal man in the wrong places.
"Mom, listen to me: you can't be searching for the prince charming in the wrong carriage," she warned.
For the content creator, that "wrong carriage" represents the flashy vehicles, loud music, and the men who usually go out partying at night.
“Blue princes don’t roam at night. At night, blue princes sleep. The blue princes here in Miami come out at dawn; you’ll see them all on the street,” he assured.
In her opinion, the men who are worth it are not necessarily those who drive the most expensive cars or flaunt a life filled with luxuries, but rather those who wake up early and work hard to get ahead.
"The blue princes here in Miami drive trucks, work cars, cars that solve their problems. Look for it there, and you'll find it; you'll remember me and you'll be a happy woman," he said.
Her statements add to other reflections shared by Cubans on social media regarding romantic relationships and the expectations when trying to find a partner in Miami.
Recently, a Cuban identified on TikTok as @lauraibonth claimed that finding a healthy relationship in Miami is "almost impossible" and has become "a luxury." This opinion sparked numerous reactions among users.
Another Cuban, known as "ivancito91," came to the defense of Cuban women and criticized men who, in his opinion, do not put in enough effort to work and contribute to the well-being of their partners.
The video by @reflejoyk also piqued the interest of TikTok users, where it recorded 6,774 "likes" and 574 shares, as well as over a thousand comments.
