Eight of the big names in Cuban urban music came together to pay a posthumous tribute to El Taiger with the release of "The Best of All Time", a track featuring the voices of Lenier, Helabusador, Seidy La Niña, El Yonki, El Micha, Yomil, and Chocolate MC.
The official video, created with artificial intelligence, was released on Wednesday on El Taiger's YouTube channel, just a few weeks after the second anniversary of his death on October 10.
"I have charisma and talent, I have heart and feeling / I am the best of all times," says a part of the lyrics that strongly evokes the artist.
Lenier Mesa announced the release on Instagram with a direct message: "The song 'The Best of All Time' is now out, enjoy it!"
The post exceeded 8,700 likes and garnered 276 comments within a few hours, while the official video on YouTube reached over 120,000 views.
Among the comments on Lenier's post, Yomil left some words that moved the followers: "A thousand thanks for the invitation, my little brother; José must be enjoying it in heaven, not to mention Mauro's mix—it's the best of all time, love you all."
Yomil has consistently paid tribute to his colleague since his passing, visiting his grave in the Cristóbal Colón Cemetery in Havana, where the artist's remains lie. Lenier, for his part, got a tattoo of "LBMA" in honor of El Taiger days after his death.
El Taiger was shot on October 3, 2024, in Miami and passed away a week later at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the age of 37.
For the crime, Damián Valdez-Galloso faces first-degree murder charges; he has pleaded not guilty, and the trial is scheduled for 2027.
