The Cuban influencer and model Samantha Hernández announced this Sunday, visibly excited, that she has been invited to the 27th edition of the Latin Grammy, which will take place on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The young woman shared the news through a reel on her Instagram account, barely able to contain her excitement: "We were invited to the Latin Grammys. We're going to the Latin Grammys, folks, I was invited to the Latin Grammys," she repeated with laughter, still unable to believe such an opportunity.
Along with the video, Hernández published a personal reflection on the effort that brought her to this point: "Today I look back and understand that every difficult moment, every tear, every sacrifice, and every time I decided not to listen to those who doubted me, was worth it."
"It hasn't been a perfect journey, but it has been mine. And if I've learned anything, it's that when you know who you are and where you want to go, the noise from others stops mattering. Today, life gifts me another one of those moments that once seemed so far away. Thank you to the Latin Grammys for the invitation and for letting me experience such a special moment. And to the girl who once dreamed of all this... look at how far we've come. This is just the beginning," added Samantha.
The model, who has over 700,000 followers on Instagram, acknowledged that sometimes the pace of work prevents her from stopping to appreciate her accomplishments: "Sometimes I'm so focused on achieving everything I've dreamed of that I forget to take a look at all I've achieved."
His invitation to the gala is not tied to a music nomination, but rather to his status as a public figure and influencer within the Hispanic entertainment industry in the United States.
Among her recent achievements is her participation as a model in the music video “La Foto,” by El Shadow featuring Nicky Jam, released last August. In September, she experienced another emotional moment by being one of the six finalists in a casting call by Telemundo for digital content creator, being the only Cuban in that stage of the process.
The Latin Grammy ceremony will be broadcast by Univision and ViX starting at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, and will feature Cuban representation among the nominations: eight artists from the island are competing in categories such as Best Traditional Tropical Album, Latin Jazz, and Classical Composition, including figures like Omara Portuondo, Leoni Torres, and Tania León.
