Maluma surprised his fans this Friday with the official announcement of his world tour "Loco X Volver World Tour 2027", a journey through more than 60 cities across four continents that will begin in 2027.
The Colombian singer made the announcement through an emotional reel on his Instagram account, recorded in an intimate and familiar tone, where he spoke about his roots and his desire to share them with the world. “The time has come to take our culture to the whole world. See you next year… HOW EXCITING!!!!” he wrote in the description of the video.
In the recording, the artist reflects on identity and roots: "Grandpa, you know what? I have a great desire to travel the whole world. But I want to travel the world this way, without losing our roots, without losing our traditions."
The tour takes its name from the artist's seventh studio album, a 14-song record featuring collaborations with Ryan Castro, Kany García, Grupo Frontera, Arcángel, and Luny Tunes, among others, and which represents a stated return to his Colombian and Latin American roots.
The tour will kick off on February 5, 2027, in Bogotá, Colombia, at Corazón de Bogotá Arena, the artist's hometown. This will be followed by two nights in Buenos Aires, on February 19 and 20, 2027, at Movistar Arena, as reported by Infobae.
Latin America holds a significant part of the itinerary: Córdoba, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, Lima, Quito, San José, Managua, San Salvador, and seven Mexican cities —including Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara— are among the confirmed destinations.
Europe will also have a prominent presence on the tour, with planned stops in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Lisbon, Zurich, Vienna, Krakow, Budapest, and Pristina, although no specific dates or venues have been confirmed at the time of the announcement. In Africa, Rabat, Morocco, is the only city confirmed so far.
The advertisement video, featuring his family, concludes with a statement that encapsulates the spirit of the entire tour: "This journey has brought me back to myself. Now I just want to return to where everything makes sense. I'm so eager to sing again, to travel, and to dream together."
With over 60 dates scheduled across Latin America, North America, Europe, and Africa, the "Loco X Volver World Tour 2027" is shaping up to be the most ambitious venture of the artist born in Medellín's career.
The announcement comes at a time of great momentum for the artist. Last September, Maluma and Shakira released the single "Agua", their first collaboration since "Clandestino" in 2018, and a few weeks later they performed it live in Madrid in front of more than 50,000 people during the singer's residency in that city.
