Descemer Bueno helps collect debris in a Havana neighborhood devastated by the tornado

The popular Cuban musician Descemer Bueno has joined the work of cleaning up debris and recovering the areas most affected by the devastating tornado that affected several Havana municipalities on January 27.

On his social networks, the musician shared a couple of videos in which he warned that next week he will continue helping.

The prominent composer and singer participated in the cleaning tasks in the Luyanó area along with university students from the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the University of Havana.

Descemer also performed last night at the Esencia bar in Havana, in a concert aimed at raising funds for the victims.

In Havana it has been notablethe support of many artists who in recent days have gone out to help, on their own initiative, the residents of the affected neighborhoods, both with the delivery of supplies and with direct help in the cleaning tasks.

Other artists have announced that they will donate the full cover of some of their musical presentations, among them areWaldo Mendoza and Alain Daniel.

While artists and Cubans in general, inside and outside Cuba, gather on social networks to organize collections and help for the victims,Some neighbors complain about the lack of state aid.

Until now, the island's media has reported a total of five people died and 195 injured.

The Cuban community residing in Miami, including some artists and athletes, has also joined the humanitarian aid campaign for the affected Cubans.
