"Life is not easy for those who leave, but it is much more difficult for those who stay, however they never stop smiling."

Alisa Ochoa, a Mexican content creator with millions of followers on social networks through her Alisa Vloogs account, outlined an emotional reflection after visiting Cuba to meet her Cuban in-laws, residents in the province of Pinar del Río.

“Life is not easy for those who leave, but it is much more difficult for those who stay, however they never stop smiling, despite their reality, of having to surf the waves day after day”, explained Ochoa at the beginning of a movingvideo in which he showed his partner's home in the town of Las Cadenas, in the Pinar del Río municipality of La Palma.

The Mexican influencer - with 2.9 million followers only on Tiktok and with important figures on other platforms - specified the pride his partner feels in being Cuban and added that he has lived missing half of his life.

“Leaving behind the most important thing in your life, your parents, your parents, your family, your roots is not easy for a Cuban, however due to circumstances many have had to migrate leaving behind their loved ones in order to help them. to have a better quality of life,” added the Mexican content creator who,Despite making his famous videos based on humor and jokes with his nonagenarian grandfather, in Cuba he stumbled upon a reality that undoubtedly shook him.

“Here reality is harder than we imagine”added the Mexican, who noted that for Cubans, eating out or buying a soft drink is a luxury that many cannot afford.

“I feel happy to have been able to invite them, to share with them, to bring them a little happiness among so much chaos,” he concluded.

In the final segment of the video, the nieces, uncle and parents of “El Pollo” – his partner's alias – sent warm messages to the absent relative, whose reason for not traveling to the island was not specified.

“I want to tell you to take good care of yourself and not worry too much, to take care of your obligations, that everything is fine here, go ahead,” the Cuban's mother timidly said, in addition to specifying that she was delighted with her daughter-in-law.

No less emotional is the message from the father to his son: “May you be happy, may you never do bad things, may you always be in justice.”

“This is the reality of Cuba. Here our 'Chicken' was born.Hopefully soon we will be able to take his parents and that little by little we will be able to reunite in Mexico with the entire Pollo family. Speechless"concluded Alisa Ochoa, whose video on Facebook has more than 15 thousand reactions and 800 comments in just 24 hours.
