Two injured after a school bus hits a car in Santiago de Cuba

Two people suffered injuries as a result of a traffic accident that occurred on Thursday in Santiago de Cuba, aftera school bus hits a car.

The incident occurred around 1:00 pm at theChivirico town, in the Guamá municipality, specifically in the CUPET area.

As detailed inFacebook the territory's health directorate, as a result of the crash there weretwo injuries that do not present danger to their lives.

"One of them was referred to the Dr.Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso General Hospital, to be evaluated by Ophthalmology, after providing first aid at the Giraldo Aponte Fonseca polyclinic in our territory," the post states.

"The other injured person is in said polyclinic in the observation area, to determine conduct," he adds.

Hours before, the Internet userIrma Broek reported the event in the group ofFacebook "Denouncing crimes in Cuba."

Contrary to the official information offered by the health department, Broek stated that the driver of the car suffered "serious, life-threatening injuries."

In the post, a photo taken at the scene of the event was shared, where it can be seen that the car was left with serious damage to the front.

On Wednesday, abus of the Provincial Transportation Company of Havana left the road due to the explosion of one of the front tires.

The incident occurred in the Heights of Boca Ciega, east of the city, and fortunately did not cause loss of life.

Days before, apublic transport bus crashed into a house in the Havana municipality of San Miguel del Padrón, with no victims reported.

The incident occurred on Calzada de Güines, in front of the offices of the Young Communist League of the municipality, and the impact destroyed the wall of the house.

In March of last year, aschool bus overturned on the edge of the Central Highway in Ciego de Ávila, just before reaching Quesada, a town in the main municipality.

There were no deaths in the incident, although there were injuries.

An Internet user stated on Facebook that the vehicle was a Yutong for schoolchildren from Camagüey that slipped due to the wet road at kilometer 477.
