Cuban talks about friendships in Miami: "Always remember that a countryman killed a countryman."

"Do not open the doors of your vulnerability, do not give the key to your destiny to anyone. Your secrets are yours. That friend, that friend you trusted today and shared intimate things with, is the one who might use them against you tomorrow," said the Cuban in Miami.

The Cuban TikToker Vera Eunice (@sobreviviendoamiami), who has earned a space on social media with more than 78 thousand followers, shared her reflections on life in Miami and human relationships in the Cuban community in the Sunshine City.

Vera spoke out following an incident that has shocked Cubans: The death of José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, the popular and beloved reggaeton artist known as El Taiger.

The young woman claims that "Miami is full of false illusions, false friendships, pretensions, and sizes that are not real." She urged people to only trust what they can achieve for themselves and to never lose sight of the fact that betrayal can come from the best friend.

"Remember how a compatriot killed a compatriot," he said in reference to the homicide of El Taiger. The police investigation into the case has become a puzzle for law enforcement because those responsible for the crime could be people close to the artist.

Vera Eunice's words resonated in the current context and set the tone for a deep analysis of the trust relationships among compatriots in Miami. She requested that the death of this icon of popular and urban music bring about a change in the behavior of Cubans in Miami.

"We Cubans have many good things, but we are also many times very superficial," she said, reflecting on how material values often overshadow the true essence of people.

Vera assures that living in Miami has forced her to be cautious with the people around her, emphasizing that her circle of trust is very small.

"Here there are no friends, here there is no ambia. Let's learn to trust ourselves. We only have ourselves," he concluded, advising his followers to keep their secrets and vulnerabilities well guarded.

In 2023, Vera had offered further reflections on the behavior of Cubans in Miami, urging his compatriots to set aside rudeness and improve their manners upon arriving in the United States.

Her direct and unfiltered approach has captured the attention of thousands of Cubans who follow her in search of advice and reflections on life to survive in the City of the Sun.
