The Cuban reggaeton artist Chocolate MC communicated from prison stating that he does not suffer from mental issues and is very sane.

Through a phone call released by the Papel Encara profile, the artist asked his mother to stop seeking documents or evidence to declare that he has psychological disorders with the alleged aim of obtaining a humanitarian visa.

“I already told my mother not to try to find any more papers, to search for strange things to prove that I’m crazy. I’m not crazy, mom, I’m more sane than you are,” stated the reggaeton artist.

Chocolate also rejected the Yoruba religion, which he had embraced in the past, and asked his mother to stop pressuring him to return "to the paths of Santería."

“Forget about Obatalá and forget about all those saints, you are the ones who are crazy. Don't try to convince me to pick up saints again, to return to the ways of santería, of witchcraft, and that dark world. No, I am not crazy, I am very clear. God has enlightened me, God has shown me the way, God taught me that the right path is with Him,” he declared.

The controversial reggaeton artist, who is currently in prison on serious charges, stated that his family does not offer him genuine love and that he has felt abandoned even by those in his closest circle.

He assured that his sister blocked him three days after he was incarcerated, that his girlfriend, Yelena Ramírez, does not answer his calls, and that his mother only wants to take advantage of his situation for a humanitarian visa citing his alleged mental health issues.

Chocolate said that the only family he has since arriving in the United States is the very police at the detention center where he is located, who take care of him and worry about him every time he returns there.

“I am not using my phone because I need to be far away from social media and distractions, because I need to find and connect with myself. I am in a process of purification from within,” she stated.

The King of the Repairmen added that he is fulfilled by the love he receives from his supporters and fans, who are attentive to his situation.
