More than five years have passed since the death of El Dany, but for Yomil Hidalgo, the pain remains as fresh as it was that day. In a recent live stream, the reggaeton artist spoke like never before about how he experienced the departure of his musical brother, his lifelong companion, his other half on stage.

With a trembling voice, Yomil also spoke about what really happened in the early hours of El Dany's passing.
“What happened to Dany was negligence. He woke up with pain in his chest and arm. The nurse told him to listen to music, that it would go away... and it never returned. Two hours later, he had his first heart attack,” he recounted with anger and sadness. “Because of that nurse, a little girl was harmed, a family was affected, a career was ruined. I wanted justice to be served.”

"Many media outlets said outrageous things, claiming it was an overdose, that he was murdered... I was devastated. That day, I only spoke with Daniela, the only person I could talk to that night."
