A young woman has stolen laughter and applause on TikTok by showcasing her clever way of having coffee at work when the cups ran out. What's the solution? Cut a water bottle and turn it into an improvised cup in true Cuban style: with creativity, zero complaints, and plenty of humor.

The video, published by user @legna.lulu, has garnered thousands of reactions and comments from compatriots who quickly recognized the stamp of Cuban ingenuity. In the images, the girl appears relaxed, enjoying her coffee as if nothing is happening, while the text of the video states: "When the cups run out at work, but you become friends with Cubans."

In the comments, the Cuban community on social media immediately identified with the situation. “We are versatile, we are trained in survival,” wrote one user, while another joked: “They may question my methods, but not my results.” There was also someone who reminded others that in Cuba “we can make something out of anything,” referring to the ability to solve problems with whatever is at hand.

Amid laughter, witty remarks, and Cuban flags, internet users turned the video into a small tribute to the ingenuity of the Cuban people, that ability to find creative solutions where others only see problems. “If in Cuba one finds solutions, here I feel like a millionaire,” commented another user.

And as the comments say, for a Cuban, nothing is impossible: if there’s no glass, one gets creative and makes one; if there’s no spoon, a box gets cut. In the end, what matters is that there’s always coffee and that, with humor and cunning, the spirit of survival that characterizes the children of the Island is never lost.
