Cuban content creator Daneisy FP (@dane94__), who resides in the United States, has sparked sensation and controversy by proudly displaying the autumn décor she prepared in her home, a tradition that is quite common in the northern country but rather unusual in Cuba.
In a video posted on social media, the woman shared the details of her cozy autumn atmosphere, featuring pumpkins of various sizes, scented candles, decorations in shades of orange and yellow, and small dry leaves that evoke the change of season.
The images also feature decorative bonfires and soft lights that create a cozy and festive atmosphere. Many applauded their creativity and enthusiasm, but others criticized them for "spending on unnecessary things."
In response to the comments, the Cuban woman replied with pride: “In Cuba, there isn’t a budget for that, but I live in the United States, and if there’s one thing I love about this country, it’s how moments are lived, how the changing of seasons and important dates are celebrated. Interior design changes the energy and gives a different touch to your home and your life.”
Its story reflects the contrast between the scarcity experienced on the island and the small everyday freedoms that many Cubans discover when they emigrate.
