A total of three thousand 90 Cubans became Spanish citizens in 2019 and the Caribbean country occupies seventh place on the list, according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics.

The number corresponding to 2019 exceeds the data from the previous year, when Only about 2,684 Cubans were naturalized as Spaniards and it still remains below the more than seven thousand that did so in 2013.
