The Consulate of Spain in Havana enabled the appointment system for the application of first passport to Cubans naturalized and registered as Spanish citizens until November 14 of this year.
According to a publication from the diplomatic headquarters on Twitter, the registered people in the Consular Civil Registry until November 14, 2022, you can now make an appointment to apply for your first passport as indicated in the place enabled for it.
Citizens who have the document already expired or about to expire will also be able to access the system to request new passports.
The opening of this appointment system responds to several complaints from Spanish citizens on the island, pressed to move forward with their procedures after a long wait.

The system works for periods of time according to the date of registration in the Civil Registry of this Consulate General. So it only allows booking an appointment to those who were registered in the periods determined below. If your registration is not from these years you will have to wait for the corresponding period.
To access the system you will have to fill out two fields with your registration data:
In the “ID” field, enter the Volume, Page and Number of your registration in this Consular Civil Registry formatted to 3 digits. If you do not know them, you can obtain it by consulting the following page: Information on Nationality files Law 52/2007 and Law 36/ 2002 (minors and adults). See the following example:
If your registration data were Volume: 80, Page 16, Number 7 Its ID would be: 080016007
In the “Password” field, capitalize: The initial of your first name, the initial of your first last name, the initial of your second last name and then your registration date all in a row (without using spaces). See the following example:
If your name was: Maria Jesus Vargas del Ojo and your registration date was 07/05/2020, you would have to enter as a password: MVD05072020

The average term for the delivery of the ordinary passport It is three weeks from the date of the request, but the period may be extended for reasons of force majeure, indicates the embassy.
On Thursday the Consulate also said it would open an appointment system to obtain nationality through the recently approved Grandchildren Law starting next November 21.
"Our appointment system for nationality #democraticMemory Law is open. Appointments available from Monday 11-21-2022," the diplomatic headquarters reported on Twitter.
Until 2018, and thanks to the Historical Memory Law, nearly 100,000 people obtained Spanish nationality in Cuba and another 100,000 were in the process of doing so.
Estimates this year were that another 200,000 could acquire Spanish nationality under the law.
