The Ministry of the Interior(MININT) detains two people suspected of the crime of the doctor Iván de Prada Silva, who wasmurdered last weekend in the municipality of Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.
According to the independent portalCubaNet, the two subjects would have confessed to the act, although other elements, such as the motive for the murder, have not yet been elucidated.
The police investigation is now focusing on this aspect, as well as other technical and criminalistic details that allow a complete reconstruction of the facts before closing the case.
Sources consulted byCubaNet They revealed that the authorities are handling two hypotheses: that of a robbery to take the deceased's motorcycle and money, and that of a crime of passion.
From Prada it wasmurdered on Saturday night, January 27, and his body was found the following morning at the entrance of the "Assault to the powder magazine" cooperative. The motorcycle was found hours later in a secluded place and inside was his cell phone.
The doctor was dedicated to distributing money sent through remittances and according to several close friends, on the day of his death he left around 2:00 pm to take care of some deliveries.
"A doctor by profession, Iván de Prada spent most of his career in management positions in Public Health institutions. He became municipal director of Public Health of Puerto Padre in 2013 and served in the direction of the Rafael Left polyclinic. He also formed part of the so-called medical missions in Venezuela and Bolivia," he recalledCubaNet.
So far the official press has not reported on this horrible crime, despite the fact that theThe doctor's funeral constituted a demonstration of popular mourning in Puerto Padre, where the people took to the streets in full to accompany the coffin in a show of gratitude.
The death of Iván de Prada, father of a family, shocked the people of that town in Las Tunas, where the deceased was considered a kind person, with great commitment and dedication to his patients.
