The former presenter of the programFrom the Great Scene, Maria Victoria Gil, came out in defense of his brother, the former Minister of Economy,Alejandro Gil, accused of corruption in Cuba.
María Victoria assured in an interview withMario Vallejo forUnivision 23, that "everyone knows who is behind" this complex case of corruption in the highest levels of the Cuban government, whereAlejandro Gil has turned out to be the visible figure.
"My brotheracknowledged the facts of which he is accused. It has entered into an investigative process by the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Cuba and the Bodies of the Ministry of the Interior. They are not 'serious errors'. "He has acknowledged acts that are being attributed to him, which means crimes," he specified.
He also referred to the hatred that, in his opinion, was created in the Cuban people towardsAlejandro Gil for being the visible face of the "Economic Planning Task".
"He showed his face in theRound table every day, about a situation that we know perfectly well that in Cuba no one can by free will say 'I am going to do this and I do it.' Everyone knows who is behind all the things that are done in Cuba and it is the Army GeneralRaul Castro Ruz", he expressed.
The Cuban communicator denied that her brother sent her money and says that she is totally sure that he is not corrupt.
"He is not going to be a second case Ochoa, he will have me to defend him," she expressed, referring to her title as a lawyer and her intention to appear before the Courts in Cuba to save Gil.
"If he really is corrupt, if he allowed himself to be corrupted, I will ensure that all the truly corrupt people fall with him, all those who have had to do with this. I am going to give my life and I swear it before God, although I am agnostic" , said.
María Victoria asked Cuban influencers and YouTubers to stop being cruel to her and allow her to live in peace, because everything she has has been earned through blood, sweat and tears, in Cuba and now working in the Canary Islands, in Spain.
He assured that he recently went to Cuba for various reasons, including professional reasons. During his stay on the island he was not able to receive any information about his brother's situation.
