The Cuban pitcher in the under-18 category, Edgar Zulueta Iznaga, had the opportunity on Sunday to showcase his talent in Mexico, during an event attended by representatives from 15 Major League Baseball organizations.

The 6 feet 3 inch right-hander threw 91-94 mph with his fastball and generated multiple swings and misses with his changeup and curve," summarized sports journalist Francys Romero in his Facebook profile, where he also shared a video of the moment.

Romero also mentioned that between 3 or 4 MLB teams showed interest in the player from Sancti Spiritus.

Zulueta Iznaga left Cuba in November 2023 and arrived in the Dominican Republic.

That same year, he had thrown two games with zero hits and zero runs in the National Championship for players under 18 years old in Cuba, Swing Completo recalled.

Romero said of him that he was among the top three talents in that category during that year.
