Viral response from a Cuban father when asked about the United States: "Let them go."

The man said that his daughter and grandson are in the United States and that he is very eager to hug them.

A Cuban father has gone viral on social media with the response he gave to the YouTuber Camila Carballo to a question she asked him about the United States.

"If I say United States, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?" the young woman asked the man, named Rey.

After a brief moment of doubt and suspicion, he excitedly replied that he has his daughter and his grandson in that country.

"What comes to my mind? I really want to hug them like a mother," said Rey.

"Do you want me to give you a better [answer]? I was born here. This is my land. Let them go," he emphasized.

The response of this Cuban contrasts with that of a compatriot who showed a completely different attitude.

"I don't want even a glass of water from the Americans, because the most bastardly beings that exist on this earth are the Americans. The Americans have no mercy on anyone in the world," emphasized the elder, who defined himself as a revolutionary.

The actress Camila Carballo interviewed several people on the streets of Havana to find out what comes to mind first for Cubans when they hear about the United States.

"Going away," "development," "prosperity," and "work" were some of the responses that were most repeated.
